Our Vision
The Building

We recently completed the purchase of 623 Pearl Street - the former Condon Motors facility and the parking lot adjacent to it.  We plan to renovate the building and be a part of the Pearl Street restoration project.  The museum itself will be self-contained to keep the younger children in and incorporate an open floor plan to give older children a chance to roam free while still under parental supervision.  We plan to maximize natural light and incorporate bright, vibrant, child-friendly colors.

Our main goal is to accommodate families of all sizes and ages with space available for stroller parking, rooms for nursing mothers, and family restrooms sized appropriately for adults and children.  The entire facility will be handicap accessible.
The Exhibits

The museum exhibits are all specially designed for children to explore and learn through hands-on activities.  Children are encouraged to touch, climb and play with everything in the museum.  Some of the themes that we plan to incorporate are The River, Construction, Me and You, grocery store and cafe, raceways, farm house with cows that we can milk and chickens that lay eggs, and much much more.

Additional space will also be set aside to host traveling exibits to help keep the museum new and fresh. Two multi-purpose rooms will host programs and special event.
The Gathering Space

One of the most exciting parts of the museum will be the gathering space.  This specially designated space will be centrally located within the museum and available for many uses such as play groups, music groups, story hour, or just a place to hang out with friends and family.
